DNA Laboratory

Labor für DNA-Analytik was founded in 1993 by Juliane Alt-Mörbe,  university teacher in molecular biology with more than 30 years of practical experience in a broad variety of methods. Labor für DNA-Analytik offers service in DNA sequencing, cloning, PCR analysis, establishment of new PCRs according to your conception, PCR detection of pathogens, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), paternity testing, identification of human tracks (blood, sperm, saliva), identification of cell lines, species identification by DNA barcoding.

PCR assays for the following pathogens are already established:

borrelia, mycobacteria, Treponema pallidum, Bartonella henselae, Leishmania, human papilloma virus (HPV), Herpes simplex 1 and 2, Varizella zoster, HHV-8. this was a cooperation with Zentrum für Dermatopathologie, a medical laboratory for investigation of human skin samples.

Experience with FISH exists with paraffin embedded tissue, with probes for p16, Cyclin D1, c-myc, EGFR (by Zytovision, Bremerhaven, Germany) and also with some self made labelled probes for htert and PTEN.
